Welcome to dog training Brisbane South West, I am Kelly McClelland, your local trainer and behaviour expert. I come to you with 25 years of dog behaviour training experience, and with a calm and gentle approach, I will show you how to communicate with your beloved family pet, to ensure that you have a solid relationship moving forward.
I work in the comfort of your home, where your dog is less stressed and feels at home. I have many years of experience in dealing with all types of dog behaviour problems.
Dogs have been a big part of my life as far back as I can remember. I could not imagine doing anything else. When I found Bark Busters many years ago, I knew that this was the right fit for me and possessed all the training ethics that were in line with my own beliefs.
I could see instantly that it was a unique method of training dogs that no other method could match. A method that was simple in its application and was a kind and natural way to train dogs. I witnessed how it easily transformed bad dogs into good dogs and all without force or fear. It worked amazing on all breeds of all ages, from puppies, adolescent dogs to aged dogs.
I will tailor a training program to suit your dog’s personality and one that is easy for you to follow and implement. I guide you every step of the journey and will answer all your questions along the way.
Consistency in your training is a key to success, which is why I work with you ‘one on one’, or with your whole family. I listen to what the issues are and ensure that the program is tailored to suit your specific requirements. I help you to resolve common problems like barking, jumping up, door reactivity, aggression to other animals or people, separation anxiety, lead training or puppy management training. Most of these behaviour problems can be managed at your very first lesson.
I offer both in house training, as well as puppy school classes, and group training for your older dogs. When you purchase my in-house training, you also get two lessons of group training, free of charge! With a background in canine education, and covering dog sports like agility, rally-o, tracking, conformation, lure coursing, etc, I can show you how to make your furry best friend the best companion they can be, and I can also go on to competing in trials if you have an interest.
However, If you just need a well behaved dog that won’t embarrass you when out in public, will listen to you, and a pet to be proud of then I can accommodate that too.

Bark Busters firmly believe in training your dog naturally, in a way that they can learn, and pick up new commands quickly, without the use of any harsh methods. We NEVER use things such as shock collars, citronella collars, choke collars, or any other harmful techniques. We are respectful of the fact that your dog is your family member, and needs to be well loved, and shown training methods that don't include threats or fear.
We want you and your dog to be the best of friends. 'Trust' in any relationship is important and it is also a very important factor when training dogs too.
