Hi, I'm Kia Parke your local Bark Busters therapist and trainer.
I have used the Bark Busters techniques to tame my previously unruly Siberian huskies where all other training (including obedience school) failed to teach me how to speak dog better.
These techniques worked for my whole family as my husband and I grew and developed our family from living the couple life, to being a family unit consisting of mum, dad and two children.
I have also successfully applied these techniques to my 100% deaf dog "Lightning" along with socially adjusting an ex working dog into a fantastic family pet and proving that these techniques can work for ANY dog, ANY problem and at ANY age.
Professionally I joined Bark Busters in 2007 and have had so much satisfaction in turning Bark Busters into a household name in the Townsville region.
Since joining the Bark Busters team, I have had many achievements. During September (2009), Bark Busters Townsville was awarded Office of the Year. I was also a finalist for Therapist of the Year (2009) in addition to being awarded the Leader of the pack award for Australia (2009).
The training techniques, which are based on the way dogs naturally communicate with each other, are simple and easy to use and results are visible in hours, not weeks – all without the use of harsh methods. Training is conducted in the home where most problem behaviour occurs, so the dog is relaxed and more receptive to learning "new tricks".
