Dog Training Sydney West South West & Puppy Education
Welcome to Bark Busters Home Dog Training Sydney West South West, my name is Kye Morris, and I am your local dog behaviour therapist and dog obedience trainer. With my guidance, I can help you accomplish your goals and unleash your dog's good behaviour through our kind, non-physical, no fear, high praise approach to training using voice tone communication and body language.
Dogs don't misbehave for no reason, there is always an underlying reason, and I can help you find that reason and turn your dog's behaviour around.
Are you struggling to control your dog
If you are struggling with your dog's behaviour, feeling discouraged after trying everything else, and still your dog's behaviour remains unchanged, don't despair. Our training method is unlike anything else you have tried, as it is unique and different to other methods.
It's not treat-based training, although we are not opposed to using treats when needed, we find praise and communication works far better. It's a natural method and one your dog understands. It shows you how to communicate effectively with your dog, without punishment or force, in a way that is simple to implement and a way that your dog almost instantly understands. We then praise and encourage the desired behaviours.
No other dog trainer offers what I do
Are you having trouble with aggression or general obedience? Having trouble with getting your dog to come to you, or getting your dog to focus on you when needed? Worried that your dog is suffering from separation anxiety while left home alone? Biting the family or just over excited, then this method of training is for you.
I'm the only dog trainer and behaviour expert in your area that offers this unique type of canine communication method of training, that is kind, natural and dog friendly.
Dogs just need understanding
Some dogs I meet are just looking for guidance, but their actions are not always interpreted correctly by those who don't fully understand dog behaviour.
One of my clients who had recently adopted a 5-year-old German Shepherd from a rescue, contacted me because she had become concerned about his unpredictable behaviour. He was becoming aggressive towards visitors and to strangers and other dogs he met on their walks.
This was starting to frighten his owner as he was a powerful large dog that had the potential to seriously hurt someone, or an unsuspecting child or dog.
She did call the rescue who told her she could bring him back, but she felt that this was the main reason he had been surrendered to the rescue in the first place, and she did not see a good future for him. She felt she owed him the 'right' to have a proper education and felt he was worth the effort, as deep down he was a great dog that just needed guidance. She was adamant that her home was going to be his last and forever home.
The story had a happy ending. The training went very well, and he has successfully turned the corner, and with our Lifetime Guarantee of Support, she will now ensure he never slips back into his bad behaviour, as I will be on hand to help every step of the way.
His behaviour stemmed from a feeling of insecurity as his owner was more focused on just giving him love, instead of a balance of love, guidance and leadership.
Dogs are not typically stubborn
I often hear people say things like "my dog is so stubborn". However, I'm yet to see a real stubborn dog. I do see many confused and misunderstood dogs who are very stressed because they are simply misunderstood. It's usually a misunderstanding between human and dog, where they are both speaking different languages and neither understands what the other one wants, or needs.
This is often mistaken as being stubborn.
Dogs thrive on structure, consistency and leadership. Humans are generally not consistent and will allow a behaviour like jumping up when in their work clothes, but not the next day when dressed to go out. One minute a dog is allowed to do a particular behaviour and the next minute they are not. This inconsistent behaviour by us humans is confusing to dogs that need boundaries and consistency to feel safe and secure.
Dogs are great watchers and interpreters of body language and once I show you how to effectively communicate with your dog, the miracle of understanding and 'Speaking Dog' emerges.
No matter what your dog's age is, be it 8 weeks or 12 + years, or any breed including, Chihuahua, Terrier, Poodle or Poodle mix (such as Groodle, Moodle, Spoodle, Labradoodles), German Shepherd, Great Dane, Maltese, English Staffy, American Staffy, Dachshund, French Bulldog or English Bulldog, I am here to work on a solution to issues you may be experiencing with your dog.
