Had a wonderful afternoon with Philip and am feeling so much more positive about my role in training Xena and having a positive relationship with her. I can not recommend Philip highly enough. So much information delivered in a short space of time and the difference I have seen in my dog tonight compared to yesterday and last night is already astounding. Such a fantastic idea to train the dog in your home, it just makes good sense. So many great examples given by Philip using the existing arrangement of our home - which I would not have thought of had I attended training elsewhere.

Trainer note from Todd
Xena is a 12-13 week German Shepherd pup and was biting (hard) with her sharp little baby teeth! Within minutes that was gently corrected. Her mum was great and having lessons at this early age helps start a Lifetime of good communication. I'll be back again over Xena's first year to help her adjust to her life as a great companion dog. She is super cute and just a lovely pup! Thank you for choosing in home training with me!

Philip was an outstanding trainer. He worked with us in our home for three hours, explaining and demonstrating how to train our new puppy, Lady, ourselves so that she understood who was top dog and felt safe and secure left alone. Phil taught us how to speak to Lady in her own language, and she seems much calmer and we are all calmer as a result. She sleeps well through the night, is comfortable left alone curled up happily in her enclosure, hasn't had any toileting accidents inside since Phil trained with us and will wait patiently to be let in and out of doors. And this is all in the space of three days! The results for Lady were immediate - it was amazing. Phil even taught us about the way we should be feeding Lady to properly nourish her and make her tummy more settled. I highly recommend engaging Phil to train a new puppy so that you can start off on the right foot with their behaviour. You will never need to go back and correct behavioural problems because you will be communicating with your puppy in a way she understands from the beginning.

Trainer note from Todd
Lady is a totally adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy of just 12 weeks or so when I met her and her humans. She was a typical little puppy in every way. It's fantastic to hear such wonderful feedback from you as I totally adore puppy lessons! Being able to start communicating with your new puppy early on, in the correct non physical, humane way, makes for a better human/canine bond from day 1. And of course this helps you have a happier, more peaceful and in control home! Who wouldn't want that! So, thank you for engaging me to help with Lady. I look forward to seeing her again over the coming months and seeing how she develops. Well done to date! Philip

My primary purpose was to stop Storm from incessant barking. Over the couple of days since the training she has been mostly quiet. Occasionally she does bark but responds to the stop barking technique we were given in the lesson. The other issues I had such as jumping up, ramming the fence and unruly behaviour when walking with a lead have also been fixed. Philip was a total professional in the way he dressed, presented the material and instructed us in the methods for addressing Storm's behaviour. He also has a genuine love for dogs which made us feel just that little bit more comfortable. I would happily recommend Bark Busters to anyone with a dog problem.tw

Trainer note from Todd
Storm is a 14 month Female Blue Heeler and her owners had received a complaint letter from their local Council about her barking. So that was the number 1 issue. I'm thrilled that Storm's barking has lessened already. I suggested some simple changes to her garden area and diet that should further reduce her barking. The jumping up was an issue as she's a strong dog with scratchy claws! As time progresses Storm will relax more and more over time and become a much more lovable pup to be with. And yes, I do love dogs! ? Thank you for caring about Storm enough to engage Bark Busters Dog Training rather than taking the lazy option of surrendering or trying shock or citronella collars (which are cruel, temporary solutions that don't deal with the causes of Nuisance Barking, jumping or any other Behavioural Issues. We were really anxious about bringing our Jasper to a new home. He has always been what we call a nuisance barker. Always barking when we leave the house, return to the house, pick up keys, have someone knock at the door. Jasper would jump up on visitors and the more we shouted at him the louder the barking became. Jasper suffers from separation anxiety he hates us leaving him. When we walk him he wants to take on all the big dogs so the walking experience causes us anxiety and it is not very pleasant for him. So......we knew we had to correct the behavior. Calling in Bark Busters was the best decision. We went with them after reading testimonials and knowing the business has been well established for 28 years. It took a few hours to start training both Jasper and us to correct the behavior that was leading to the barking. The simple command of "bah" has replaced our screaming "shut up", yelling his name and often giving him a treat to stop the barking and bad behavior. It is repetitive but easy to do. I was really worried that it would be a rigorous training regime that we could not possible keep up with. We were pleasantly surprised. We just need to be consistent and we are now seeing big changes. There are still some issues but that is because Jasper is still not quite there yet. Continued training with us will see us get on top of this. Philip was great and down to earth, very easy to work with and not at all reprimanding for the way we have addressed or not addressed Jasper's behavior. Philip was positive and reassuring. Philip also gave a holistic approach to Jasper's behavior giving us information on diet, surroundings, history of dog behaviors etc. That was great to hear about to put it all into prospective. Jasper was relaxed with Philip and we felt confident after Philip left that we could do this and see results. We highly recommend Bark Busters.

Thanks so much for your great feedback Beth! Jasper (a 10 year old male Chihuahua) was super great and I really saw him understand the change in the pack leadership that was occurring in that first lesson. He was and will be happy to let go of all the responsibility of looking after you and Darren! He wants YOU to look after him! I'll be back in 2 weeks to work some more with you all and make sure that everything is going well. I'm so happy that Jasper is behaving better already. And as they say, you can indeed teach an OLD dog new tricks!

I was very happy with the training received. Philip was clear, confident and very supportive of us humans as well as Keira and Bella. It was so encouraging to see Keira learning and making the connections - and her behavior changing as we worked.

- M.M, Jamberoo, New South Wales (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Todd
Keira is an 8 month young female German Shepherd and Bella a 6 year female German Shepherd. Both dogs were adopted about 6 months ago. Bella had been a breeder. Keira was jumping up, ripping clothes on people with her mouth, crashing into the door when left alone, and barking too. Bella didn't want to come! So, after our 3 hour lesson we saw both dogs change for the better! Especially Keira who had the more challenging behaviours. They are both gorgeous creatures with lovely gentle natures, so training with Bark Busters in #speakdog is all they need to fit into their new home better. I'm sure that they will become valuable and much loved (already that!) members of their community. Keep up the consistent practice and enjoy your two special girls. Thank you for allowing me to help you, Hannah, Keira & Bella.

We decided to ask Bark Busters for help due to our 10 month old red heeler Scout having issues walking on the lead. Scout was constantly pulling, walking where SHE wanted to walk and lunging at car and bike tyres. Philip was wonderful, he spent the time working with us and Scout until she understood the concepts of what we wanted her to do (not pull on the lead). We never felt rushed or felt like we were asking too many questions, Philip has a great deal of knowledge and suggestions for all situations. Philip provided us with a training schedule to follow and we have been doing this with Scout for 20 minutes a day. She now pulls much less and stays next to us on the lead, we still have some training to do in new and built up areas but we have the skills to continue working on this. We would definitely recommend Philip and Bark Busters to our friends and family who are having some puppy issues! Walking Scout is now stress free.

Todd dealt with Aggression, Barking, Jumping up, Sibling rivalry

First day of training I was very nervous but Philip soon put me at ease,he was very kind and patient. He was wonderful with Molly and she responed very well.I was amazed at how much change I saw in her by the end of the lesson.

- V.b, mangerton, New South Wales (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Todd
I'm so happy that despite your feeling nervous you found my lesson great. Molly is a recently adopted 6year old Moodle who barked a lot. But more worrying she had bitten Vivienne quite badly on the arm and would growl at her and her husband Fred. Molly was just a bit scary at times. Our first lesson was great and Molly showed she is not an aggressive dog just a dog with Behavioural problems. Bark Busters can help. When I left Vivienne and Fred were able to prevent her barking at passers by. They also knew how to reprimand her for growling without being physical. I'll be back in 2 weeks and I'm available at any time via phone if they need more help. I'm confident Molly's bad behaviour will improve. Well done Vivienne and Fred!

Philip's training was spot on for our dogs. We saw instant results as we faced issues around sibling rivalry which we didnt realise has been such an issue with them but definately is. We have now become aware of a great deal and can confidently say we are much more educated and equiped to handling our dogs. As we seperated the dogs and trained them seperately we noticed their behaviours. Ivy cried non stop as she was alone and not used to this. We were easily able to stop the crying and whinging which I compared simply to magic as I never thought this was possible prior to Philip's introduction. Our dogs were constantly jumping, pulling on the lead during walks, barging at the door whenever we tried to get in and out and the main reason for us seeking help... a couple of vicious (not to mention nerve wrecking) fights over food. We feel a lot more confident that their behaviours have changed for the best but like anything it is a work in progress and we know we will see excellent results in the near future.

- T.I, Flinders, New South Wales (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Todd
That's so fantastic to hear! Ivy and Batista are both Staffies and Ivy seems quite timid but also a bit stubborn. Their fights had drawn blood and would have probably escalated without training. Teaching the dogs to cope with separation from each other and from yourselves is important and it was great seeing how well they learned this lesson. Well done with your "homework " so far ?

Fantastic. Pippa has been a different pup, I have been able to control her barking and she has happily come when called. My major problem was her running up and down the fence barking at the new neighbours, tonight I used your technique and she stopped and returned to me after just 2 barks..unbelievable! If this happens after just a few hours I can't imagine how she will be in a few weeks.

- M.S, Bowral, New South Wales (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Todd
Haha I love hearing of your success Mary! Pippa is a 7.5 month young Welsh Springer Spaniel and just about the prettiest dog I've ever seen! ? Her barking, jumping on you and guests, lack of response to "come" and general stubbornness had to change! And change they have after just one 3 hour lesson. And as you rightly comment, imagine what she will be like after a few weeks of regular Bark Busters training? I can tell you ... a total joy to live with! Well done and thank you for trusting Bark Busters to help with your gorgeous girl.

Philip is a great trainer that never gives up. We had problems with Laiko at the start of the first training but towards the end, we achieved Laiko's barking and behaviour. The exercise he gave me has improved Laiko's barking, aggression towards strangers, pulling whilst on walks and his jumping towards us. We are still learning, but we are very happy with how he is turning.

- I.C, Woonona, New South Wales (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Todd
Ibeth well done to you too for being there for Laiko. He is a 14 month old Cocker Spaniel male who as you mentioned was aggressive to strangers (especially men!) and barked a lot when any noise disturbed him. He was a challenge at the start of our lesson but he did show improvements and response by the end! And with your daily practice he will just get better and better! Of course I will be seeing you again for a revisit lesson soon and we can continue to show him what good behaviour looks like! The best thing about our training is that Laiko will actually be happier in himself, less stressed and consequently much nicer to live with! Well done Ibeth!

Philip was fantastic. We had problems with Nitro, our Am Staff, showing aggression towards our two bull terrier pups, Sassy & Luna. Philip was able to teach us techniques to control him and divert his aggression. We also learnt a few handy tips on how to control our puppies. They are still learning, but we have found their behaviors have definitely improved since projecting the new methods of training into their lives. We have also changed their diet as suggested by Philip and that in itself has made a huge difference. We are looking forward to Philips next visit!

Philip was very thorough with the content covered and did very well to answer every question i fired at him. It was a very hot day so Harley was a bit lethargic however we could still see a clear response from him. Excited to implement the training techniques.

- T.O, Horsley, New South Wales (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Todd
Harley is a handsome 5 month old Husky male and was very responsive. He showed a keen mind and will enjoy his ongoing training with Mum! I'll be back in a few weeks to achieve the next level of training and then again by his first birthday or so. It's up to you when you need me again. Remember that I teach you how to train your dog! That's much better than a stranger trying to teach him and then vanishing from the scene. Harley now has Lifetime Support Guarantee with Bark Busters.
