Kia dealt with Jumping up, Pulling, Puppy management, Recall
We were so impressed with the Kia and the training methods we learned! Our first session with Kia was as much educational for us as it was training for our 5 month old lab puppy Molly, who has been a bit of a handful as she has gotten bigger. After working with Kia we felt we were finally given the tools to communicate with our pup in a way that she actually consistently responds to. It makes working with our pup every day really enjoyable and Molly seems to really enjoy the interaction as well.

Buddy’s behaviour has shown improvement in the 10 days since we started Barkbusters. We are happy that he is barking and jumping less

Kia's input was invaluable. the change in Bob was instant. We went from having a puppy who was unable to focus on any task to a puppy who was able to calm down and follow direction. Kia also provided a toilet training plan that incorporates crate training. This has been working really well. I loved the education part of the lessons that taught me the Why of what Bob does. It is this new found knowledge that will build the foundations of a strong and functional relationship with my best friend Bob.
Trainer note from Kia
That's terrific news! I'm so pleased you loved the fantastic results we had with little Bob. He tried so hard, and seeing the happiness you experience just sitting quietly in a chair made our training priceless. I loved helping you all! Thanks for choosing me as your trainer.

Kia came to help curb certain behaviours of my large 2 year old bull Arab cross who was mostly calm and well behaved but when bored became a bit destructive and he was also not great at following directions. Kia first talked about the psychology of dogs and how they think as a pack animal and if you let them the are a very good trainers of their humans! Despite having many good dogs over the years it was a major ahaa moment for me and it completely put my thinking about dogs in another dimension! Kia expertly followed up with real life examples with my dog Rocky that frankly left me astounded! It’s rare to make a significant investment and know in a short space of time that your money is well spen, that’s is how I felt after a short hour into our training! On top of this my lesson was only 4 days ago and I have been able to keep Kia in the loop with my training with Kia giving me suggestions or tweaks here and there!
I could not recommend Bark Buster more highly but for me Kia was the icing on the cake!
I am one grateful and happy dog owner!
Thank you Kia
Vince

Kia, was wonderful and easily relayed methods for training our dog. He was very receptive of the lessons and was quick to learn and eager to please. Tues 23/07/24 we have had our follow up session today and both Kia and we were pleased with Remus's progress we extended into a few new techniques and saw results immediately. we are sure that as long as we are diligent with our training Remus will become the well trained, smart and attentive dog we always thought he could be, thanks so much Kia.

I had just about lost all hope in being able to find someone to help me with my out of control, fear aggressive and leash reactive Chihuahua until I found Kia Parke from Townsville Barkbusters.
My Chihuahua (Bandit)has bitten 2 people and tiny though he may be (2kg), he behaved like a Rottweiler and I was beginning to hate walking him as he reacted to anything and everything.
In our very first session (and in under 20 minutes) Kia was able to be in the room with Bandit off leash with his attention focused completely on me. Wow! Bandit tolerated a total stranger (Kia) in the house without trying to eat them alive from the ankles up! I was truly left thinking “Did that just really happen?” And not one single treat involved!
Kia certainly knows exactly what she’s doing and is very professional, approachable and friendly. I feel I can really trust her in regard to her instructions in training my dog and for the first time in almost 2 years I have a real hope that Bandit can be rehabilitated. I can already see it happening!
We have just had our second session this morning with Kia where she was able to again enter the house and this time get to meet Bandit. Within a few minutes Bandit was up on her lap wanting a chest massage from her. Again Wow! We also did some more training and Kia gave me some more instructions to follow for the next few weeks.
The difference in Bandit in even under 2 weeks has been nothing short of amazing and all thanks to Kia from Townsville Barkbusters.
If you’re hesitant about getting a dog trainer I’ll say this about Kia from Townsville Barkbusters…it will be the best money you’ve ever spent as long as you follow her instructions and do the homework with your dog.
I am really looking forward to future sessions with Kia and watching Bandit totally transform. And even though I know there will be a bit of a journey ahead, I believe Bandit will get there under Kia’s expertise.

Kia was very helpful. The techniques she showed me have been very effective so far with the dogs finding it easy to learn. Still early days but I’m hopeful that they will continue (with ongoing training) to improve and eventually we’ll be able to go for walks without having to worry about other dogs.
