My partner and I discovered Bark Busters when we visited a friend of ours and their beautiful staffy, Bentley. We were used to being greeted by Bentleys heavy paws jumping all over us, but this time was different. Bentley was sat in the hallway waiting politely. Since that day we saw Bentley respond to our friends every command and became relaxed and happy. His owners were equally relaxed and happy, having learned to speak dog. We didn't own a dog at the time but we knew who we were 'gonna call' when we did because the training speaks for itself! Then along came the most perfect Corgi puppy you've ever seen, George. George had his first visit with Kia from Bark Busters Townsville at 14 weeks old. Booking the appointment was excellent. The lady on the phone answered all of our questions and put us in touch with Kia. Kia was so delighted to meet George and it was obvious to us immediately how passionate she is about her job. Very soon after we were blown away by her ability to communicate with our puppy and show him, and us, what good behaviour looks like. After the first visit George was a changed pooch. The things we had struggled so much with ie. Running through doors, biting and jumping were virtually non existent. Kia offered us expert advice on diet, exercise and toilet training and has been completely available for any of our concerns. Kia has always been flexible and accomodating, meeting us for training both at home and in public, allowing us to take our time, addressing any and all concerns we have had and making us feel that there are no silly questions. Through Bark Busters George has learned how to sit and wait while doors are opened, to stay when told, to not bite, to not jump, to enter rooms only when invited, to walk properly on his lead, to socialise with our friend's dogs, to leave our shoes and socks alone, to only jump on the lounge when invited and to come when called to name a few. Thanks to Kia, we enjoy a happy household of positive communication with our dog. We wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you Bark Busters for teaching us to speak dog!

Glen was great with all of us today. I am not sure who learnt the most- us or Sampson! But by the end of it I could see the difference in Sampson.

I was impressed with training offered by Bark Busters, there was great explaining and demonstrating by Catharina. It was enjoyable, but also challenging, overall excellent information and training.

Hugh was very knowledgable and friendly, obviously had plenty of experience dealing with dogs and Hunter warmed to him immediately. Clarified a lot of issues we had only partially explored, like nutrition and correction technique as well as plenty we did not know about. Hunter was a changed dog at home in the 3 hours Hugh spent with us and we are seeing great improvements each day in his walking and interaction with other dogs. Looking forward to the next session.

Training was very well presented and very informative. Each detail was explained thoroughly and examples were taught well before moving on to the next area. Our trainer (Hugh) was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of solutions to help us with our puppy.

The session with Angela was excellent. She was punctual and got straight down to business once she arrived. She knew from the beginning that it was my husband and I that needed the training as we had created a culture where our dog, Hazel, ran the household. The training made perfect sense and was easy to implement. Hazel responded almost immediately to the new 'bah' command. Hazel, is a very stubborn 4 year old miniature bull terrier and very stubborn, but Angela had her listening and focusing to her commands and then ours before she left our home. We are extremely happy with the changes we have noticed in Hazel's behaviour. She now appears to be a lot more relaxed and definitely the barking has reduced significantly. The bustercube treat toy is fantastic. Hazel loves it and hasn't broken it yet which in itself is fantastic. Thank you Angela for showing us how to correct Hazel's behaviour problems in a positive manner.

We are very pleased with the training we are receiving. Angela explained the Bark Busters training philosophy extremely clearly and gave us very good practical training with a good amount of practice time in our first session. She also gave us some strategies to work on regarding River's own special behavioural problems. This is the main reason we chose Bark Busters. As he is a rescue dog we felt we needed one on advice and guidance with regard to his issues as well as basic training. We are looking forward to continuing to work with Angela to further his training.

Glenn was fantastic and managed to get the dogs behaving after just 10 minutes with each! Such simple techniques that can be applied to all aspects of training. Highly recommended =)

I felt comfortable to work Nike out and about again. We just need to keep at it. Money well spent.

Everything was explained thoroughly, from what to do, how to do it and most importantly why we do it. Methods were simple and so effective. It was great being 'tone' and posture orientated. Jetta was much more relaxed and content. Walking slowly and behind me was amazing. Never expected results like that so quickly. Even my partner, who was skeptical initially, thought it was well worth it. Four days later my Mum came for a visit (first visitor since our training) and WOW what a difference. Initially Jetta ran up as per her usual pre Bark Busters behaviour but I used the Bah and clap and recall technique and that was it. Jetta was calm, greeted Mum respectfully and then got into her bed. It was GREAT! Usually I am so embarassed by her behaviour but she was such a good dog. Thank you so much Philip.

These being my first dogs i didn't have much idea what to do besides what i had read on the internet but is was great to have someone who was able to come to the house and show me the do and don'ts. After 1 week both my dogs are more responsive and that makes me both more care and happy with them. Philip was able to answer all the questions i had very quickly. Also with just the couple of things that he left me to practice i don't feel like I'm out of my league with any of the training.
