My husky, Sheikah (pronounced she-car), is a nervous, twitchy and rambunctious dog - in other words, she's a husky being a husky.
She has seperation anxiety issues that cause her to be destructive, she tries to intimidate a family member of mine and she's very much on the go all the time. It genuinely started to feel like I had trapped myself with a dog who despite all her love and good qualities had essentially gotten me trapped in a life where I can't leave the house without her and/or constantly be on edge if I DO leave without her. And after having to eat a bit of humble pie, I looked into trainers and found Bark Busters who quickly set me up with an appointment with Glen.
Despite my own reservations, Glen quickly managed to calm my worries and Sheikah became putty in his hands within ten minutes. Glen was very warm, kind and personable and I really enjoyed chatting with him. He took my hesitation at some of his advice in good spirits, explained the process behind it all and repeatedly made sure that I understood what, why and how things worked.
After a very informative slideshow where I was enthusiastically encouraged to interrupt with questions if needed, Glen had us start working on using a leash correctly, having my dog walk nicely at my side and gave me advice on how to correct her. Sheikah picked it all up quickly under Glen's guidance and by the end of it, she was happily conked out on the floor.
I genuinely can not recommend Glen and Bark Busters enough, after our first session it feels like the mountain became a hill and I'm excited about the possibilities from the outcome of our training sessions.

Glen & Maureen dealt with Barking
Glen was amazing. So knowledgeable and really really good with Gidgey. She is still barking but nowhere near as much, and it is very early days. I suspect within a few weeks the barking will be absolutely minimal. Would highly recommend the Barkbusters people!

Working with Maureen has been great, Willie has responded to many item of the training. Although Willie has been diagnosed with Epilepsy at 5mths he tends to go backwards with his training for a few weeks but I have to tools to get him back on track. I love the pillow training he really responds well, his biggest problem was car travelling and separation from me, he is a gold star now travelling and still a WIP for separation due to his medical issues. But I enjoy our sessions with Maureen. Highly recommend, i wished I had found her earlier in our dogs learning.

Glen was amazing and so helpful. He had our Silly Groodle Fred under control in no time and gave us so many helpful tips and training techniques to continue with between our sessions. Fred's demeaner has changed since Glens visit and you can tell he thrives on the training and structure. He seems like a happier dog in general and I feel like we have made a lot of progress. I highly recommend Glen and love that he comes to your house so he can see the dog in their natural environment. Thanks very much Glen, look forward to continuing Fred (and our) training! :)

I can't recommend Maureen from Bark Busters enough! After just one session, I began to see improvements in my dog's behaviour. Maureen was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to understand my dog's specific needs. The methods she used were clear, effective, and made an immediate difference. I’m so impressed with the results already and am excited to continue working together. If you're looking for someone who can truly make a difference with your dog, then look no further!

We can finally relax whilst walking our Teddy. We adopted Teddy when he was 4 years old, and he struggled with seeing other dogs and walking on the lead. After Glen came to our house, he has Teddy under control in minutes. Whilst we are still learning the techniques, Teddy is much easier to handle, and we are over the moon.
In addition, we went to one of Glens dog meet ups in the park. Our Teddy displayed the behaviours we spoke to Glen about, and again - fixed within minutes. Highly recommend seeing Glen to get to know your dog better!

My partner and I have a Maltese Shih Tzu and Cavoodle. We booked in with Bark Busters in hopes of establishing toilet training, barking behaviours and more. The first session was very informative as we were educated about “dog languages,” correct training techniques, the importance of establishing leadership and more. The session was also very interactive - Maureen showed us training techniques, corrected our techniques, and gave advice in all of our areas of concern. By the end of the session, we saw huge progress with our boys. Maureen was extremely lovely and we had such a positive experience. Highly recommend to any pawrents in need of some assistance!

We are absolutely astounded with the results from our training session, even that is an understatement. Our dog Koko has a completely different temperament since meeting with Glen 4 days ago. It was amazing to see what a few minor changes could do for her and us as dog owners. Koko's lead reactivity, barking, lunging, and fear aggression had rapidly increased over the past six months to the point where we needed help before something potentially happened. Despite previous training and self-educating on how to help her in these confronting situations we were in a tough spot on how to move forward with her. We have a baby on the way, and I was extremely concerned as to how I would walk her alongside a pram or how she will interact and listen once our baby arrives. I have absolutely no doubts in my mind now that she will be the best version of herself. It was nice to be reminded of how intelligent and good-natured Koko really is, she isn't looking to be the pack leader she just needs the right communication from us in a way that is understood. Both my husband and I finally feel like we are the leaders and have much better control with her. She is now focusing on us when we lead training, she listens to commands, doesn't rush past us through doors and is just 1000x calmer. We have been following all the advice and training guidelines given so we can get the best possible outcome for all of us. We still have a long way to go and like humans Koko will still have her bad days, but we feel so much more confident and in control moving forward. I am so thankful to have come across Bark Busters, don't waste your money or time anywhere else. Glen is literally the dog whisperer!! Looking forward to the next meet.
