On March 15th 2023 I adopted an abandoned 12 month old black German Shepherd dog. He was a 40 kg big, headstrong, wilful dog who demanded attention all the time. I had previously owned 2 Shepherds and thought I was up to the challenge presented by this one but 2½ years later, despite my constant efforts and training, I was losing the battle managing his behaviour. The difficult decision to part with him was a very real dilemma. However I made one last attempt to keep him and Googled 'Dog Behaviourists' and Bark Busters looked like it could be helpful. A few days later we had our first training session with Ric and we made progress immediately as I learned to 'speak dog' and then to establish my place as the 'top dog in the pack'. I was shown how to implement techniques to manage his undesirable behaviour and subsequently his ability to make good behaviour choices became apparent. Now after only two training sessions I have a different dog. His behaviour at home has improved greatly, welcoming visitors nicely is possible, and he is able to calmly encounter other dogs on our daily walks. A huge change for the better. We still have much work to do, and probably always will, but he is becoming the loving, beautiful companion I so desperately wanted. Stef is a magician! We are absolutely blown away by the results. In just a few days, our 8-year-old Cavoodle with severe separation anxiety has completely transformed. She used to bark and howl the moment we left our apartment, disturbing the neighbours, but tonight I was able to leave her for 45 minutes without a peep. I’m confident she would have been fine for even longer! Our girl also had issues with walking with just one person (me) but now with her new leash training the issue has been completely resolved!!! I have owned dogs all my life (over 50 years), and I didn’t think there was much more I could learn—until I met Laura. From our very first session, I was amazed by how much she taught me and how effective her methods were. Our new rescue dog, Tella, came to us with very little training. Laura’s approach was firm yet gentle, and the change in Tella’s behaviour was immediate and noticeable. What impressed me most was how Laura not only helped Tella, but also gave me the confidence and tools to manage the challenges of a large, intelligent dog. Thanks to her guidance, I feel reassured that Tella will go on to have a positive, happy life with us. I cannot recommend Laura highly enough—her knowledge, professionalism, and care have made a world of difference.

Mikey was already a great puppy, but I particularly struggled to have her attention when outside on walks, and whenever guests came over. Bark Busters gave me great tools, including the collar, which gave me back control. She responds super quickly, and I feel like she’s almost immediately turned into a calmer, happier dog, even just after a few days!

Glen was spectacular with his training and coaching. We were given a thorough lesson prior to engaging with Torro with much of the lesson focusing on human behaviour and learning to be empathetic with our dogs. The training was far more insightful on our behaviours and implementation provided immediate results with our boy. I highly recommend Bark Busters as we were provided with 1:1 support in our dogs environment, provided ample time to implement strategies while Glen is present and kind mentoring which never places the dog in any harms way. Honestly I was VERY sceptical but I was amazed after one meeting. My older dog certainly learnt new tricks and my 7 month old quickly learnt her place in the pack. She has continued to be totally relaxed and at peace finally. Kelly knows her stuff and our whole family is better for it.

Maureen is a true expert when it comes to training dogs. Within 3 hours, she taught me everything needed to create a calmer and more obedient dog. Also helping Tilly to feel more secure.

We recently had our first training session with Michelle from Bark Busters Brisbane, and I can’t recommend her enough! From the moment she arrived, Michelle made us feel at ease and explained everything clearly. What amazed us most was how quickly our Aussie Shepherd, Barni, responded to the training — we noticed a change straight away on the very first day. The intensive session gave us so many practical tools, and it’s incredible to see Barni adapting so fast. Kristie is very knowledgeable and her guidance in correcting our dogs aggressive barking worked pretty much immediately. The changes for all our family to implement and to continue working on creating a relaxed home to where hopefully soon we can have visitors come to our home without Kingston barking aggressively.
